STORYTELLING THROUGH DESIGN
Summary
'Shannon's Box' aims to ensure that every child and young person entering the care system receives a thoughtfully curated box filled with items designed to ease their transition.
Our team delivered a participant led design programme, with talented young team members taking on the roles of creative directors. They worked in collaboration with the brilliant artist KMG to bring the ideas to life before designing a box that would resonate with young people in Glasgow and can be personalised through colouring in.
Launch Event
In October 2023, the project was launched and implemented throughout Glasgow. We participated in the launch event held in Glasgow city centre, where alongside the young designers we presented the project to policymakers and influencers from the council and government. During the presentation, we discussed the design approach and emphasised the significant impact that the project is expected to have on the lives of young people in care in Glasgow.
