Overview

What Nobody Tells You is a 6-week, fully funded filmmaking programme to help you take your first steps into a creative career, with support, practical skills, and honest insight from people who’ve done it themselves.

Open to anyone aged 18+, What Nobody Tells You is for people with creative ambition who haven’t always had access to opportunities. Whether you're interested in short film, documentary, online content or animation, the programme will be shaped around your interests and goals.

No prior experience needed - just ideas, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn.

By the end of the programme, you’ll have new skills, greater confidence in your creative work, and a clearer path into the creative industry.

What participants get

  • Hands-on masterclasses covering pre-production, production and post-production (planning, making and editing content or films)

  • Practical guidance on how the industry works, from freelancing and invoicing to building a portfolio, creating a website, and applying for courses or funding

  • Tailored support from the Braw Talent team, including CVs, applications, and next steps

  • Time and support to develop your own creative project, with a showcase event at the end of the programme

  • A toolkit of resources and templates you can take forward into your career

  • A small group of like-minded people to learn and grow alongside

  • All expenses covered

With thanks to the Allia C&C Social Impact Grant for making this opportunity possible.
